This spring, the enchanting setting of Kiftsgate Court Gardens provides the backdrop for a truly indulgent Chocolate Experience on Wednesday 22 April 2026. Running from 10am to 1pm and limited to just 12 guests, this intimate workshop invites chocolate lovers to explore the craft, creativity and pure pleasure of fine chocolate making in one of the Cotswolds’ most beautiful garden locations.
The morning begins with an engaging talk from Bobbie Garbutt, owner of L’Esterre Chocolate, offering insight into the origins, ethics and artistry behind exceptional chocolate. Guests then move into a hands-on workshop led by professional chef and chocolatier Amy Levin, learning the techniques behind moulded chocolate bars, bespoke pralines and classic truffles. Participants experiment with flavours, textures and natural extracts, dipping, garnishing and finishing their creations just as artisan chocolatiers do.
By the end of the session, each guest leaves with a generous box of their own handmade chocolates and a deeper appreciation of the skill and quality behind premium confectionery. The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere makes it ideal for friends, family or solo guests wishing to share a creative morning with fellow chocolate enthusiasts. All materials, along with tea, coffee and pastries, are included, and all chocolates produced are dairy, wheat, gluten and refined sugar free.
Priced at £95 per person, the experience also offers the opportunity to enjoy lunch in the Kiftsgate tearoom afterwards and to wander the celebrated gardens at leisure, making it a richly satisfying Cotswold day out centred on craft, flavour and seasonal beauty.
